This event aims to discuss the representation problem of women and girls in economics and how we can work together to change this. In the UK, 1 in 6 boys choose to study A-Level economics – compared with just 1 in 17 girls. Discover Economics is working to understand and address some of the barriers that girls feel they face in the field, and why economics isn’t attracting the very best talent from across genders. Hear our latest research and help us shape how to tackle this issue so we can engage more girls at school level.
