From the January 2020 issue onwards, the editors select a lead article for each issue of The Econometrics Journal. Oxford University Press will provide free online access to this Editors' Choice.
The Editors' Choice for the January 2020 issue is Pedro Carneiro, Sokbae Lee, and Daniel Wilhelm’s article “Optimal data collection for randomized control trials”.
The editors have also selected one paper in each of the three 2019 issues to be highlighted and made freely available as Editors' Choice:
- Yoshimasa Uematsa and Shinya Tanaka’s January 2019 article “High-dimensional macroeconomic forecasting and variable selection via penalized regression”;
- Brennan Thompson and Matthew Webb’s May 2019 article "A simple, graphical approach to comparing multiple treatments”; and
- Benjamin Gillen, Sergio Montero, Hyungsik Roger Moon, and Matthew Shum’s September 2019 article "BLP-2LASSO for aggregate discrete choice models with rich covariates”.
