The Econometrics Journal is looking forward to welcoming you at the Society’s 2022 Annual Conference, which is held online from 11-13 April. The journal is involved in two events that highlight recent developments in econometrics.

On Tuesday 12 April from 15.00-16:30 BST, the journal will organize a Special Session on The New Difference-in-Differences, chaired by Victor Chernozhukov, with two presentations:

Xavier D’Haultfœuille (CREST-ENSAE): “Two-way fixed effects and differences-in-differences with heterogeneous treatment effects: A survey” (joint with Clément de Chaisemartin)

Jeffrey Wooldridge (Michigan State University):  “Simple approaches to nonlinear difference-in-differences with panel data”

On Tuesday 12 April from 16:45-18:00 BST, Serena Ng (Columbia) will deliver the Sargan lecture on “Imputing weekly values of monthly economic indicators: a matrix completion approach”.

Jaap Abbring will chair the lecture, Tobias Klein will moderate its Q&A, and Dennis Kristensen will present the 2020 Denis Sargan Econometrics Prize to Neng-Chieh Chang (UCLA) and the 2021 Denis Sargan Econometrics Prize to Xuewen Yu (Purdue).
