The RES is delighted to support a high profile confernece is being held to commemorate the bicentenary of David Ricardo''s Proposals for an Economical and Secure Currency at SOAS London on 2-3 June 2016.

The conference is sponsored and supported by the Royal Economic Society, the Ricardo Society of Japan, the Open Political Economy Group at The Open University, and the Money and Development Seminar of SOAS, University of London.

There is no conference fee, but payment is required for the Conference Dinner which will take place on 3 June at 1930.&##160; To attend the conference, participants are asked to:

• Register now by email in order to reserve a place at the conference and at the Conference Dinner (to help us to plan numbers for catering).
• Register on the first morning; if attending the Conference Dinner delegates must pay by cash (in sterling banknotes ) to purchase a ticket for the price of £* [details to follow].
