RES Video: Be the Change – The Role of Active Bystanders

We are pleased to share a new video, ‘Be the Change’, which discusses how to be an ‘active bystander’ and why this is fundamental to improving the culture in Economics. Featuring a range of RES officers and members, it includes actions you can take and examples of how you can be an active bystander. This video builds upon the Active Bystander presentation at the RES Annual Conference in March and the virtual event held in November. Thank you to all the individuals who agreed to participate in the video and help convey this powerful and important message. You can find other supporting resources on how to be an active bystander here.

Please share this video within your teams, departments and institutions. You could request it is shown at the next team meeting or away day. Pass this to those responsible for staff and student induction, to be included in your introductory information pack.

Please email programmesofficer@res.org.uk to let us know how you use this resource to embed positive behavioural change.
