RES UK Women in Economics Network aims to support diversity with their upcoming event


The Royal Economic Society is pleased to announce that the next UK Women in Economics Network (UK WEN) eventInspiration and tools for success, will be on 27 June, hosted by JP Morgan Asset Management at 60 Victoria Embankment, London. 

The event will consist of a range of expert speakers including speeches from Patrick Thomson (CEO, EMEA JP Morgan Asset Management ), Almudena Sevilla (Professor of Economic and Social Policy, LSE and Chair of UK WEN ) and Dr. Swati Dhingra (member of the Monetary Policy Committee ). The event will also welcome a personal development session by Beatrice Hollyer (Executive Coach) and a panel discussion by senior female economists:

  • Janet Henry, Global Chief Economist at HSBC Investment Bank
  • Vicky Pryce, Chief Economic Adviser at the Centre for Economics and Business Research
  • Urvashi Parashar, Chief Impact Officer & Chief Economist, UK Infrastructure Bank
  • Jo Blanden, Professor of Economics at the University of Surrey, Mentoring Programme Lead of the RES Women’s Committee and RES Council Member

It will be concluded with closing remarks from Tera Allas CBE (Director of Research and Economics, McKinsey UK and Ireland, and UK WEN Ambassador ) followed by a networking lunch.
