This issue looks at natural experiments and causal inference, what is sometimes called the Credibility Revolution. The January issue of the newsletter includes ‘The Letter from France’ from Alan Kirman, Q&A with Jörn-Steffen Pischke about the Credibility Revolution and applied econometrics, a contribution from Tom Aldred on the UK’s Government Economic Service and the role for academics, a profile of Sir Stephen Nickell and an obituary for economic historian Donald Moggridge. A full table of contents for this issue can be found here.
The next issue of the RES quarterly newsletter is due to be published in April 2022.
