RES Mentoring Programme: call for mentors

Womens Committee Mentoring Programme - news item v2-03

RES Women’s Committee is seeking female professors and female senior economists to volunteer to mentor early career academics.

The role is not too demanding and will consist of preparing for and holding an online mentoring session for 3-4 mentees. We are happy to have mentors of any nationality but please consider that the mentoring will be aimed at young female economists working in the British academic environment, so some familiarity with UK academic career paths is preferable.

Mentees may be interested in following a research or teaching-focused career path, so we welcome mentors with experience in either or both areas. If you would like to volunteer, please complete this Google form by Friday 15 September. For more information on the RES Mentoring Programme, please visit our website.

Mentors will be warmly welcomed at the Women’s committee events at the RES conference held at Queens University, Belfast on Monday 25 March – Wednesday 27 March 2024.
