Last week the Royal Economic Society held our first Diversity and Inclusion Network meeting on 26 January 2023, representing the launch of the network.
The Diversity & Inclusion Network aims to support those working on increasing diversity in Economics. We want to contribute to increase participation from under-represented groups and promote a more inclusive culture in the discipline. We connect individuals and groups working on making Economics more diverse and creating a better community and working environment for economists across sectors.
The meeting went successfully, attended by the D&I Network steering group. Discussions were made about the future of the network and brainstorming of different initiatives and efforts to encourage economics within under-represented groups.
