RES Council Elections 2024-2029: voting now open

Voting is now open for the Society’s Council elections. Members have the opportunity to choose which six candidates will join the RES Council for the Spring 2024 – 2029 period.

Council members play an important role in the governance of the Society and bring valuable perspectives and contributions to our activities.

Members can vote for up to six candidates out of twelve. You may only vote once and have until 23.59 GMT on 28 March 2024 to cast your vote.

Each year, Council reviews its composition and issues guidance to the Nominations & Appointments Committee on dimensions where Council feels it is under-represented. For 2024, it has reserved two places on the ballot for academics from non-Russell Group institutions and a further two places reserved for early career economists (defined as someone within the first five years of completing their studies).

The successful candidates will be formally ratified after formal adoption at the Society’s 2024 AGM.

You will have received an email from UK Engage with full details on how to vote. This provides you with a unique security code. Please note that this may be in your junk or spam folder. If you have not received this, please contact the Elections Officer, Prof Miguel Costa Gomes on RESoffice@res.org.uk.
