RES and The British Academy Event: economic developments during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II

The Royal Economic Society wrapped up the month of May with an event at The British Academy on developments in economics during Her Late Majesty’s seventy-year reign.

The event was held on 31 May 2023 with a panel comprising of Prof Sir Richard Blundell (University College London), Prof Dame Carol Propper (Imperial College London) and Prof Lord Nicholas Stern (London School of Economics), and chaired by Prof Sir Tim Besley (London School of Economics).

This panel discussion went smoothly with a full house attendance, attended by various guests, including expert and respected economists within their fields. The discussions helped to create an in-depth conversation amongst participants about the UK economy.

After the discussion, we continued the event with networking drinks and canapes in the Gallery.

RES would like to continue to create informative and though-provoking discussions and events and we would like to thank all those who attended and helped make this event a success.
