Following our recent Annual General Meeting, the Royal Economic Society has appointed Prof Sir Christopher Pissarides (The LSE) as RES President and Prof Imran Rasul (UCL) as RES President-Elect for 2024/25. In addition, Honorary Senior Research Fellow Tony Venables (University of Oxford) has been appointed as the RES President Elect for 2025/26.
The AGM also ratified the appointment of six new Council members who will serve until 2029:
