The Royal Economic Society Annual Conference is our flagship event bringing together hundreds of academic and professional economists to present the latest developments in economics and showcase their real-world application.
We are welcoming a range of speakers and sessions to promote discourse and enhance discussions amongst different peers in the economics field. One of the ways we aim to do this is through our in-person hubs.
The conference will hold three hub events which will offer conference delegates face-to-face time with peers and colleagues, included in the conference ticket. Each hub venue will host an in-person keynote, networking opportunities and time to come together to view the virtual keynotes.
Here is a list of our hub events:
Monday 11 April, 12.00-18.00: University of Reading, UK
Theme – Labour Keynote: Professor Barbara Petrongolo, University of Oxford
Tuesday 12 April, 12.00-18.00: University of Manchester, UK
Theme – Economic Growth Keynote: Prof Oded Galor, Brown University
Wednesday 13 April, 12.00-19.00: Ashoka University, India
Theme – Women and Work Keynote: Prof Farzana Afridi, Indian Statistical Institute
The hubs will be located in three locations, which will allow participants to choose the most convenient hubs for them. The in-person hubs aim to create a greater networking experience amongst peers and encourage beneficial face-to-face discussions and idea sharing.
