The Royal Economic Society is delighted to announce that Damian Clarke has been appointed Data Editor for The Economic Journal and The Econometrics Journal, starting from 1 July.
Damian is Associate Professor of Economics at the Universidad de Chile and University of Exeter. His research focuses on the determinants of health, family fertility decisions, and intra-household investments and behaviours. He is also interested in computation and microeconometric methods.
Damian stated: “I am thrilled to join the Editorial Team at RES. Both The Economic Journal and The Econometrics Journal have played a very important role in promoting open data and reproducibility in economic research, and it is an honour to join such a strong and well-established team. I look forward to building on the excellent work of previous Data Editors and to contributing alongside the world-class editorial teams at the EJ and the EctJ. It’s exciting to help ensure that RES continues to lead in making research data and code accessible and replicable for all readers.”
We also thank Florian Oswald for his fantastic work as Data Editor over the past two years and wish him the best for his new role at the Journal of Political Economy.
Since 2019, a dedicated Data Editor has led the implementation of data reproducibility and replication policies and processes for both RES journals.
