Madeleine Sumption – Women in Economics Talk March 3rd


The Women Economist Network (WEN) are delighted to announce the next WEN event on Thursday 3 March at 6pm. Madeleine Sumption, Director of the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS) at the University of Oxford will present on immigration economics and the UK.

Madeleine''s interests include immigrant integration, government policies towards immigrant investors, illegal employment, and the recognition of foreign qualifications. Madeleine was previously the Director of Research for the international program at the Migration Policy Institute in Washington, DC and is a non-resident Fellow with Migration Policy Institute Europe. Madeleine holds a master''s degree with honours from the University of Chicago''s School of Public Policy. She also holds a first class degree in Russian and French from Oxford University.
The event will be held at Defra, Room 808 Nobel House, 17 Smith Square, London SW1P 3JR.
