The Royal Economic Society’s provides grants which further the understanding and application of economics within and beyond academia. To apply, applicants must be RES members.

The following grants are currently open for applications:

The deadline for the Knowledge Transfer Projects (KTPs) grant is 30 September. The KTP grant provides funding up to a maximum of £2,000 for projects that increase the sharing of knowledge and expertise between academic and non-academic economists or those in related fields. This is part of our commitment to diversifying economics through funding aspects of the knowledge exchange that help to improve the profile of economics as a discipline and economists more broadly. For more information follow this link.

Members can apply for up to £500 to support those who are presenting an economics-related paper at a research and/or teaching-related conference. Grants can contribute towards conference fees, travel expenses and/or accommodation expenses. Awards will be limited to PhD students and early-career economists (the latter including PhD students who may not be employed as economists). Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis during 2021. Full information can be found here.
