We are keen to hear your thoughts and feedback on this new format for Special Sessions.

As a reminder:

• This session began with a short showcase of the DBT’s Areas of Research Interest (ARIs) and the department’s evidence prioritisation process.
• The heart of the session is a collaborative “sandpit” exercise, where participants worked in small groups alongside DBT economists to explore a key, policy-relevant topic. Participants then joined a breakout group for a deep-dive discussion.
• This format provided a chance to contribute expertise, test ideas, and help shape the future research agenda of a major government department.
