The RES Conference is an annual opportunity for academics and non-academic economists to present, discuss research and develop new connections.
The Conference Committee opened the Call for Papers and Posters in October 2024 and welcomed submissions from anyone with a desire to present their research.

Those submitting a call for papers/posters can select the type of presentation they’d like to make:
All those submitting research via the call for papers will be asked to indicate if they’d like to present a Paper, a Poster or Either at the conference.
Papers and posters are allocated to members of the Conference Review Committee.
The Review Committee, as part of the review process, will allocate papers to either a General Session or a Speed Session. Speed sessions allow up to six participants (instead of four) to present the key aspects of their research in a small number of slides but receive the same amount of feedback time. There is no other difference than number of presenters and time for presentations between general and speed sessions. Papers will be reviewed equally on their merit and quality and allocated to a session based on topic/field. For each general and speed session, we will aim to have presenters from a mix of career stages.
If the submitter selected “Either” at the point of applying, the reviewer will decide if a paper is allocated a general/speed or poster session.
The Conference Programme Chairs thereafter have the final decision on which papers and posters are allocated a slot in the conference programme.
The RES and the RES Conference committee are dedicated to ensuring the conference is diverse, in terms of presenters and topics. The committee monitor and revise each programme to ensure diversity. We are pleased to publish data on diversity from the RES 2024 Annual Conference.
