ADR UK (Administrative Data Research UK) is a partnership transforming the way researchers access the UK’s wealth of public sector data, to enable better informed policy decisions that improve people’s lives.
By linking together data held by different parts of government, and facilitating safe and secure access for accredited researchers to these newly joined-up and de-identified datasets, ADR UK is creating a sustainable body of knowledge about how our society and economy function. This is tailored to give decision makers the answers they need to solve important policy questions, driving change that has the potential to improve lives across the UK.
ADR UK is made up of four national partnerships (ADR England, ADR Northern Ireland, ADR Scotland and ADR Wales), and the Office for National Statistics, which ensures data provided by UK Government bodies is accessed by researchers in a safe and secure form with minimal risk to data holders or the public. The partnership is coordinated by a UK-wide Strategic Hub, which also promotes the benefits of administrative data research to the public and the wider research community, engages with UK Government to secure access to data, and manages a dedicated research budget.
ADR UK is an investment by the Economic and Social Research Council, part of UK Research and Innovation.

CORE Econ is a charity whose aim is to transform the way economics is taught around the world, through freely available, high-quality educational materials.
Economics has a reputation for being an abstract subject that isn’t engaged with the real world. Our mission is to change that, with relevant teaching materials based on addressing society’s most pressing problems like inequality, climate change, financial instability, the future of work and innovation.
Designed by an international network of top research economists and educators, our free online textbooks and resources put students at the centre of the pedagogy, drawing on the things they most care about and want to understand.
CORE Econ is used in over 400 universities and colleges worldwide. It’s part of the curriculum in some of the highest-rated economics departments such as UCL, the University of Oxford, Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy, Sciences Po, Humboldt University Berlin and the University of Cape Town.
Our learner-friendly digital materials bring the discipline to life, with contributions from top economists such as Esther Duflo, James Heckman, Alvin Roth and many others.

The Economics Observatory (ECO) is an ESRC-funded project that bridges the gap between academic research, government policy and the general public. Our goal is to provide balanced and reliable answers to the economic questions facing the UK today. We make it our mission to make these answers as accessible and engaging as possible. The ECO team are drawn from across the countries and regions of the UK, with a hub in Bristol. By publishing daily articles and charts, as well as running live and online events for a range of audiences, we believe ECO can help the public and policymakers better understand the numerous challenges facing the country today, from Covid-19 and the climate crisis to the war in Ukraine and rising energy costs.

The e-learning platform mcEmpirics is developed by Prof. Thomas Siedler and comprises more than 1.000 introductory econometric questions, answers to those questions, and references to manuals. Learning with mcE-quizzes (consisting of true-false and multiple-choice questions) gives undergraduate students an opportunity to assess their knowledge of introductory econometrics and refresh their skills.
mcEmpirics has been designed to complement lectures and course work. With an mcEmpirics campus license, professors and educators can improve their teaching methods effectively by conducting online tests throughout the semester. They can quickly create online tests by selecting questions and contexts developed by mcEmpirics or by using their own questions.
