As part of Black History Month, Discover Economics is hosting a live event featuring guest speakers from TikTok, the African Development Bank and Goldman Sachs.
The event will be ideal for careers leads and teachers of Economics, Mathematics and related subjects to share with students. This event is aimed at Year 9-13 students.

The speakers are:
Joshua Ogundu
Joshua Ogundu is a product operations lead at TikTok, the world’s leading destination for short-form mobile videos. Ogundu’s work led to the release of TikTok’s photosensitive epilepsy feature warning and toggle as well as TikTok’s age verification for their Creator Fund.
Astrid Haas
Astrid is an urban economist currently working as a long-term consultant with the African Development Bank where she is supporting cities across Africa to strengthen their financial systems, with a focus on unleashing new opportunities for sub-national financing. Her previous roles include Policy Director and Head of the Cities that Work initiative at the International Growth Centre.
Ndubisi Offonry
Ndubisis (Dubi) is currently an electronic sales trading analyst at Goldman Sachs having graduated from the University of Bristol. Ndubisis is also the founder of the youth mentorship platform Strength From Within which has the goal of empowering students to embrace their uniqueness.
