The Econometrics Journal invites submissions to a Special Issue on Macroeconometric Policy Analysis, edited by Raffaella Giacomini in collaboration with Daniel Lewis (UCL). The deadline for submissions to this special issue is 01 December 2025 (earlier submissions will be processed right away). Submissions should comply with the journal’s submission guidelines. Authors should select “Special Issue Article: MACROPOLICY” as the “category of submission” in Step 2 of the submission procedure.
The special issue is linked to the 5th Sailing the Macro Workshop, which will be held from September 5-7, 2025, in Ortygia, Siracusa, Italy. This workshop aims to facilitate discussions of ongoing research on policy-relevant questions in macroeconomics and provide a platform for exchanging ideas and findings among experts in the field. Keynote speakers are Refet Gürkaynak, Sophocles Mavroeidis and Geert Mesters. The deadline for submissions to the workshop is May 11, 2025.
The editors and workshop organizers particularly encourage authors to submit their research on innovative macroeconometric methods, empirical policy evaluation techniques, and quantitative frameworks for analyzing macroeconomic policies to both the workshop and the journal’s special issue. However, submissions to the special issue are also open to authors not participating in the workshop and the workshop also invites submissions beyond the topic of the special issue.
