The RES Professional Development & Education Committee support economists at all stages of their careers. The committees main areas of activity include; supporting PhD students, providing training and resources for all economists and forging links with other organisations such as The Economics Network, CTaLE and the ESRC.
The PDE Committee:
- Bring communities of economists together e.g. Easter Training School.
- Advocate for economics e.g. Professional Development Summit.
- Improve diversity, inclusion and integrity in the profession e.g. Professional Development Active Bystander sessions.
- Develop the next generation of economists e.g. How to prepare for the EJME and the RES Doctoral Training Programme.
The committee seek a new chair to propel the committee forward in new and exciting areas whilst overseeing its current areas of responsibility.
