RES members are invited to propose names for both the RES Council (for the period Spring 2023-2028) and President-Elect for Spring 2024-2025, then President 2025-2026. The latter will follow Chris Pissarides, who has been confirmed as President-Elect 2023-2024 and President 2024-2025.
Any member of the RES who would like to make a nomination should email the Elections Officer Miguel Costa-Gomes at RESoffice@res.org.uk by 14 October 2022. When making a nomination, please provide your name, the nominee’s name and their affiliation, together with either their CV summary or a link to their online CV. Self-nominations are welcome for possible Council membership. You can view the current Council membership and list of former Presidents on the RES website.
The RES Nominations and Appointments Committee will meet in early November 2022 to consider all nominations received. From these, the Committee will agree a list of twelve names for the Council Elections. This list will then be subject to a ballot of all RES members early in 2023 in order to elect six new members of Council. The Nominations and Appointments Committee will also agree a Presidential nomination which will be presented to the RES Council. The successful candidates will join Council and be ratified as President-Elect after formal adoption at the Society’s 2023 AGM.
