The RES Nominations & Appointments Committee seeks a replacement for Lord Gus O’Donnell, who completes his term on the committee at the end of 2022. The purpose of the Nominations & Appointments Committee is to nominate the in-coming President-Elect of the Society, agree the candidates for the annual Council ballot and appoint co-opted members of the Trustee Board. The Committee reports to the RES Council.

The Committee comprises six of the elected members of RES Council; two Additional Members (either RES Life Vice-Presidents or independent people of standing in the economics profession); the RES President-elect and the RES Elections Officer (secretary and non-voting member). The vacancy is for one of the two Additional Member positions. Additional Members serve a three-year term, which may be renewed once.
Expressions of interest, including a CV and covering statement setting out the skills and expertise the applicant will bring to the role, are warmly invited. These should be sent via email to resoffice@res.org.uk by 10 January 2023.
